10 Questions for the End of 2023

The end of the year is a good time for reflection. And when we reflect, we have the opportunity to remember God’s goodness to us and all the blessings he’s lavished upon us. As we conclude the year, I want to encourage you to remember the Lord’s goodness to us by using these ten questions to spur on good conversation. Parents and families could use these questions around the dinner table with their children. Or maybe you could get together with some friends to discuss. However you use them (or variations of them) they may be helpful to create an edifying conversation.

  1. Who is one person who really ministered to you this year?

  2. What is one of your favorite “ministry moments” this year?

  3. Who were you able to invest in this year?

  4. What was something you did this year that was rewarding?

  5. What was the most edifying book you read this year and why?

  6. Was there a sermon / a conversation / a class / a teaching that stuck with you this year?

  7. How do you feel you grew spiritually in 2023?

  8. Did you do something in 2023 that you had never done before? What was it?

  9. What is one thing happening in your family that you’re thankful for?

  10. What is one thing happening in the church that you’re thankful for?
