New Here?
A brief explanation of what this magazine is, why it is, and how to navigate it
The name of this newsletter says it all. The saints at Grace Rancho and all over the world are indeed pilgrims. But the idea that we are pilgrims doesn’t diminish the need for remembering and keeping a record of all God is doing on our earthly journey under the sun. On the contrary, the brevity of life should cause us to constantly remember and celebrate what God is doing in our midst.
This newsletter will have sections on theology, book reviews, practical insight, and featured sermons from recent months. But beyond that, we hope that every edition of the Pilgrim’s Press highlights a record of the faithfulness that the Lord is showing to our church members. As our church continues to grow in number, we want to provide for our members something that will easily keep them in the loop of important conversations, relevant resources, testimonies of recent converts, new births, new marriages, encouraging stories, and a whole lot more - all from our membership.
Think of and use Pilgrim’s Press the way that you would use a newsletter catalog for your favorite pastime or hobby. Newsletters and magazines from Magnolia Interior Design, Sports Illustrated, fast cars, or trendy clothing all aim to inspire. Pilgrim’s Press aims to inspire you to be a student of the Word and good books, by other church members, to know others better, and to celebrate the work that God has done and is doing in our church. Let this newsletter be something you return to time and time again for renewed inspiration for your Christian life in the church.
Over the years at Grace Rancho, we have always thought that it would be a good idea to keep a better record of all that the Lord is doing here and that is what we hope to do with a new edition of Pilgrim’s Press at every members’ meeting.
