Equipping Matters
We believe that Christians, like plants, grow best when they’re in the right ecosystem. Jesus, the ultimate disciple-maker, passed on his discipleship ministry to the church (Matt. 4:17, 28:16-20) and the church is to be the place where disciples are equipped. You can’t expect a sunflower to grow in Antarctica, nor a Christian to grow apart from the local church. Here’s what this means: to be equipped for ministry, a Christian needs to be immersed in a healthy church ecosystem where listening, observing, doing, and debriefing are happening regularly.
Equipping Matters is an attempt to help our members immerse themselves in those four categories: listening, observing, doing, and debriefing. All with the goal of “equipping the saints for the work of ministry” in the local church (Ephesians 4:12).
